Apr. 21 No bread today unless some
was brought in last night
-traded jackets with Englishmen
- no bread! Lack of food is telling -
feel dizzy & lightheaded like getting
up from sick bed - dejected - hungry
cloudy today - no air show - bad weather

Apr. 22 Rain today - skilly same
as yesterday - rye flour. Imagine
making a meal of what you would
normally use as gravy for mashed
potatoes. Time passes very slowly
when you are hungry. It's hard
to read or write. What will the
food problem be now with 8000
tattered looking Russian workers
flooding into the camp. Bread came
in late last night & we are hoping
it will come in sometime today. Last
week at this time every body was
certain the yanks would be
here by now.  Our hopes have
been up so much lately. I feel
