here so far from the camp we had been given several fresh eggs bread & margarine & ??segars?? by various Russians. They were a rugged looking lot. Women in uniform carried arms & mixed freely with the men. It was a good hike back to the camp & we kept wondering whether the camp police would search us & take our food away. Fortunately no one was at the whole in the fence that we went thru & we returned to the barracks |
