Pillage houses, food &
souveniers
May 6 - raining stayed in all morning
- cleaned rooms.  Went thru ruined
doctor's house - Norm took lots of
instruments & microscope - found
phonograph - plenty of food - fixed
big meal in our room.
Went out for eggs & records -
German people gave us records
Came across Ellen & family gave
us four eggs. spent some time
talking to them - had coffee, cake &
candy.  Invited for dinner next
day.  Had big meal in room -
eggs & fried potatoes & oatmeal &
cheese, jam, & bread. Rumors of
leaving next day.  Norm & I on
KP tomorrow - interferred with
dinner engagement.
May 7 Left kitchen after eating
instead of peeling spuds with
rest of KPs - cleaned room & went
out to keep engagement - took big
chance - because running out on
KP. Went out of grounds into
town (which is truly off limits)
Had delicious meal (meat & potatoes)
- coffee later - apple cider - looked
